Corbin & Carousel met up one summer evening in downtown Rapid City at Summer Nights, after finding each other online.
Their dream wedding day was for just the two of them in some of their favorite locations. We couldn't have asked for a better day during this February elopement!
A couple of special moments for them included washing each other's feet in the Badlands, exchanging vows at Sylvan Lake in the Black Hills, and then finishing up the night at downtown Rapid City on the St. Corner where they first met.
Planning the Day
We started off the morning at the couples apartment where they got ready together!
At a typical wedding, the bride gets ready with her girls and the groom gets ready with his guys. Why not get ready together and help each other out! Makes for some super cute video shots!
Corbin & Carousel wanted to go to their favorite restaurant inbetween locations. Where did we go? Texas Roadhouse of course!
There are so many fun options you can do for food on the day. Pick up your favorite food to go and have a little picnic out in nature somewhere. Actually go to your favorite restraint. Have a meal at home or at your Airbnb and invite a few friends and family to come celebrate!
Speak your vows
These two wanted to share their vows and exchange rings with an epic view of the Hills. Sylvan Lake was the perfect spot for them!
Pick somewhere that's meaningful or special to the two of you to share your most important words to one another. Traveling for your wedding? We love to scout out beautiful locations where you will not be interrupted and can fully enjoy this part of your day!
Meaningful moments
Corbin & Carousel choose to wash each others feet as a symbol of serving the other person.
What other meaningful rituals or things are important to the two of you that would be fun or meaningful on this most special day?

The Response
Rebecca and Kyle of Zsomething Films were an absolute dream to work with for our elopement last February in the Badlands and at Sylvan Lake. They didn’t just take photos or create a film—they captured our love story in a way that was real, raw, and incredibly authentic. Watching our wedding film still brings tears of joy to my eyes; it perfectly reflects the spirit of our day and the deep connection my husband and I share.
Rebecca and Kyle’s professionalism, creativity, and genuine care for their clients shine through in every detail. Their ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera allowed them to capture those candid, heartfelt moments that mean the most.
